About This Show

Deitrick Haddon is undeniably a breakthrough artist, one of the young ambassadors of the Gospel message. His second release with Verity Records, Crossroads is categorically what contemporary Gospel music is all about, coupling Haddon’s church roots with a contemporary sound and feel, thumping grooves and dynamic vocals, filled with messages of faith, encouragement, inspiration and anointing. The youth pastor at Without Wall International Church in Tampa, Florida, Haddon’s appeal is spurred on by his distinguishable vocal talent, live performance, production and songwriting ability. The album represents the high-end production and diverse song selections that has become Haddon’s signature. Appreciation to his musical influences is obvious on this project with Sam Cooke-styled cuts; Michael Jackson-esque dance tracks and the tried and true vocalizations of Rance Allen. “Funky, futuristic soul gospel…full of old-school gospel meeting soul, slick and rich as Motor City oil.” – Christiantity Today

The young foursome Men of Standard — Isaac Carree , Lowell Pye, and Bryan Pierce — emerged from the 1990s into the 21st century as one of gospel music’s hottest and most popular young acts, appearing at the top of the gospel charts as they traveled the country singing for thousands upon thousands of people. Melodically embrace empowering, peaceful themes with contemporary, urban, and gospel influences, the members of Men of Standard were raised as classic “church boys,” with lives that revolved around preaching and music as well as the other ministries and activities of their local congregations. With each member blessed with distinctive and experienced solo vocal gifts as well as the ability to meld into a focused ensemble sound, Men of Standard quickly developed a reputation for seamlessly moving into and out of lead and background parts to create an astonishing variety of harmonic textures and vocal blends. Today, Men of Standard celebrate a decade of music making with Surrounded, the group’s fifth full-length album. With the solid support of Sony Gospel/Sony Urban Music, and steered by the master’s touch of red-hot producer Warryn Campbell (Kanye West, Missy Elliott, Mary Mary, Michelle Williams), Men of Standard are moving to a new plateau in their career. Men of Standard combine their contemporary gospel/R&B signature sound with a hip-hop urban edge and a handful of beautiful ballads of praise and worship. The result is a fresh and new, yet still inimitably Men of Standard sound. Prior to the release of Surrounded, Men of Standard received massive national exposure as a featured act on the second leg on Kirk Franklin’s Hero tour, playing to packed coliseums and arenas across America. As Men of Standard prepare for the next giant step forward in the group’s journey, they are clearly focused on higher purposes.
