Join 30 Broadway and Hollywood stars, including Lisa Ling, Jason Scott Lee, Tia Carrere, David Henry Hwang, Jason Robert Brown, Anthony Rapp, Joan Almedilla, Welly Yang, Deedee Lynn Magno on stage for ONE UNFORGETTABLE concert at Carnegie Hall. Second Generation’s Concert of Excellence includes sneak peaks from the upcoming musicals Karaoke of Errors (from the creators of The Donkey Show), Ang Lee?s The Wedding Banquet, and performances from such classics as Man of La Mancha, Once on This Island, Whistle Down the Wind, and others.

The extravaganza is a celebration of outstanding achievement in the performing arts featuring a night of music and dance and honoring the world?s most talented artists. Scheduled to perform at the 2002 CONCERT OF EXCELLENCE include Broadway stars Joan Almedilla (Les Misérables, Miss Saigon), Tony-Award winning composer Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Last 5 Years, Songs for a New World), Julie Danao (Aida, RENT), Jamie Guan (M. Butterfly), Cliffton Hall (Les Misérables), Michael K. Lee (Jesus Christ Superstar), Deedee Lynn Magno (Miss Saigon, ?Mickey Mouse Club?), Aiko Nakasone (RENT, The Rocky Horror Show), Anthony Rapp (RENT, A Beautiful Mind), Hazel Anne Raymundo (Miss Saigon), Herman Sebek (CATS, Shogun), Jade Stice (Jekyll & Hyde), Alex Lee Tano (Mulan) and Second Generation Founder/Artistic Director Welly Yang (Miss Saigon, Falsettoland, Metro TV, ?Law and Order?).

The concert also features the 2002 Rémy X.O Excellence Award. This year?s recipients — acclaimed filmmaker Mira Nair, playwright David Henry Hwang, actor Jason Scott Lee and Award-winning director Zhang Yimou — will be honored with a spectacular concert featuring more than 30 stars from Broadway and beyond at Carnegie Hall (154 West 57th Street). The CONCERT OF EXCELLENCE will be co-hosted by Lisa Ling (ABC?s ?The View?) and SuChin Pak (MTV News), with special presentations by author Amy Tan (The Joy Luck Club, The Kitchen God?s Wife), CBS News Anchor Cindy Hsu and actress Tia Carerre and wardrobe by Vivienne Tam.
