About the Show
On the intimate stage of the Slipper Room, modern dance is revealed in a new light as audiences get immersed in the existential world of Franz Kafka, an electrifying ‘80’s dancefloor, and other pieces making up “Close Quarters IV,” produced by the Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble (ST/DE).
This show marks ST/DE’s fourth annual appearance at the Slipper Room, and the company’s most anticipated show of the year. Featuring freshly restaged dances - such as “Everything Must Go,” “Adventure 2,” and an unearthed version of “The Pond and The Cage,” plus “From the Diaries of Franz Kafka,” with actor Gabe Girson in the title role of Kafka - ST/DE proves just how titillating modern dance can be. Doors open at 7:30pm, show at 8pm, one night only at The Slipper Room, 167 Orchard St (enter on Stanton Street) New York, NY 10002. This event includes a cash bar and is 21+ only.
