Cabaret Gourmet

A benefit for The Play Company, Cabaret Gourmet celebrates the shared spirit of the culinary and theatre arts, both dedicated to entertainment and “food” for the soul. The evening features samplings from New York City’s top chefs and renowned local restaurants and favorites from the stage serving up some tasty treats of their own, with performances by Bebe Neuwirth, Christopher Durang, Ana Gasteyer, Buck Henry, Anthony Mackie, Jonathan Reynolds, Amy Sacco, Colman Andrews and David Rosengarten.

Act I – “First Course” features dishes selected and prepared by top New York chefs, along with specialty cocktails and classic wines to complement the dishes.

Act II – “Main Dish” is where cabaret meets gourmet with food-inspired entertainment including songs, skits, readings and on-stage cooking. A distinguished cast of actors, writers and chefs perform short pieces ranging from classic Broadway songs to favorite food writing gems.

Plus – “Dessert” is a silent auction with exciting prizes including a pair of tickets to a sizzling hot ticket, The Producers, starring Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, and much more.
