Bebe Miller Company returns to DTW with “Landing/Place” and celebrates its 20th anniversary. With digitalized motion-capture, live music, video projection and exquisite dancing, “Landing/Place” explores sensory, spatial and cultural dislocation, and the yearning toward order in the apprehension of difference. Miller’s hallmark choreography – rich, luscious, sensuous – is seen through a layering of projected images that evoke imagined and familiar realities, in a work that contemplates place within a global human landscape.
