Genuine Hip Hop music from the rural south. AD won 2 Grammy awards for best new artist and best rap single 1993. They were the first African American artists to donate money to Nelson Mandela and the ANC, South Africa. Arrested Development worked with legendary director Spike Lee, on the major motion picture X (Warner Brothers). A.D.’s debut album 3 years, 5 months and 2 days in the life of, (EMI) referred to the amount of time passed between the start of the group and the signing of their first record deal.

AD’s debut single “Tennessee”, won an MTV music award for best rap single 1992. “People Everyday” also won them an MTV video award for best music video 1992. “Mr. Wendal” the bands biggest hit to date, of which A.D. donated half of all the royalties to the National Coalition for the Homeless. A.D. has sold over 5 million albums.

In 2005, AD performed and won as audience favorite on NBC’s hit show of the summer, Hit me Baby 1 more time. For that show, they donated $20,000 to UNICEF for relief in Sudan, Africa.

The title of their new CD, SINCE THE LAST TIME (2006-07) refers to the amount of time passed since people heard their earlier material. SINCE THE LAST TIME is an easygoing but lively group of songs meant to stir up belief and thirst!
