About This Show

Internationally acclaimed cabaret artist Anna Bergman delivers a musical valentine to The Big Apple with the highly-anticipated return engagement of her celebrated concert-cabaret, Across a Crowded Room. The show, directed by Sara Louise Lazarus and featuring musical direction by Alex Rybeck, is presented at the elegant Stanhope Park Hyatt New York in association with Ligeti Artists LLC.

Bergman’s third concert-cabaret and collaboration with Lazarus and Rybeck spotlights songs that promise love at first sight and happily-ever-after, explores the search for Mr. Right, and looks at the sometimes exasperating and heartbreaking but always exciting journey through love, romance, and marriage. The tuneful tribute to romance, which played to sold-out audiences at The Stanhope when it debuted in December, showcases songs by the most celebrated American songwriters, including Rodgers and Hammerstein, The Gershwins, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein, and many others.
