About This Show

Due to illness, the December 2-6 performances have been cancelled. Performances are expected to resume Tuesday, December 9. Heather MacRae will present her acclaimed show Songs For My Father in lieu of Marcovicci’s missed performances. For information, phone 212-840-6800.

Andrea Marcovicci, an elegant, sophisticated performer who combines consummate acting with spellbinding torch songs, has been called “the Callas of cabaret” by the Philadelphia Inquirer. In her show at the Algonquin’s Oak Room, she celebrates the life and work of one of America’s great composers.

Her repertoire includes numbers from the Broadway and Hollywood classics Guys and Dolls, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Most Happy Fella, and Hans Christian Anderson; Marcovicci will also offer such Loesser hits as “Heart and Soul,” “I Don’t Want to Walk Without You,” “Two Sleepy People,” “Baby, Its Cold Outside,” “On a Slow Boat to China,” “Says My Heart,” “Spring Will Be a Little Late This Year,” “They’re Either Too Young or Too Old,” and “What Are You Doing New Years Eve?”
