American Dance Guild to Present 70th Anniversary Festival at Ailey Theater

THE AMERICAN DANCE GUILD CELEBRATES 70 YEARS OF AMERICAN DANCE WITH A FOUR-DAY PERFORMANCE FESTIVAL "Celebrating the Past. Inspiring the Future." More than 30 works by contemporary choreographers and dance artists will be presented, with special tributes honoring Nai-Ni Chen, Paul Sanasardo, Carla Maxwell and Janet Collins, and awards recognizing Pat Catterson and Sally Sommer. The festival will represent a wide range of aesthetic, cultural and generational perspectives in contemporary dance. A special focus of this year's program is its intergenerational exchange, featuring guest companies Ballet Tech, LaGuardia, Murray Louis Foundation and Graham 2.
