A Night of Salsa Featuring Hermanos Moreno, Herman Olivera & Conjunto Imagen

Herman Olivera is considered by many as one of the very few SONEROS left in the true salsa genre. He has & continues to tour all over the world, appearing as a featured vocalist in many prestigious festivals, T.V. shows, etc., including stints with The Carnegie Hall Jazz Band & The Lincoln Center Afro-Latin Jazz Band. It has been noted that this brilliant vocalist has all the essential qualities of a great singer: diction, vocalization, soul & feeling which combined with his charisma & the palatable timbre of his voice projects the well seasoned mixture of the Afro Caribbean rhythms.

Conjunto Imagen was founded in 1989 by bandleaders Ernie Acevedo and Junior Rivera. Angelo Gonzalez joined as Musical Director in 1990. They have since recorded twelve productions. Three of those were produced under J & N Records label entitled “Tumba, Tres y Bongo”, “Te Invita a Bailar” and “Mi Rumba”. The next six productions, recorded under the Platano & Universal label were entitled “Algo Nuevo”, “Por Amor a Ti”, “Encuentro Especial”, “Imagen 97”, “Entrando a Milenio” and “Contra la Fuerza”, a Christmas CD, “Xmas with Imagen” (which features Jose Fajardo & Yomo Toro).

Conjunto Imagen’s subsequent production “Ayer, Hoy y Manana” was released under their very own record label Muziq, Inc. Records, with the vocal talents of Jesus Serrano and Eddie Rosado. In 2008, Conjunto Imagen released “Afinando” with the new vocal section featuring Eddie Rosado, Johnny Ortiz & Alex Rodriguez.
