A Celebration of Song

A Celebration of Song is the annual spring gala of off-Broadway theater company Playwrights Horizons. The evening will honor three of the company’s exceptional alumni writers: Tony Award nominee Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens), Tony nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens), and Pulitzer Prize and Tony winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife). Book writer Richard Greenberg (Far From Heaven) and director Michael Greif (Grey Gardens) will also be recognized. Additionally, the gala will feature performances by three leading ladies: multi-Tony winner Christine Ebersole, multi-Tony winner Patti LuPone, and Tony winner Kelli O’Hara. The three will sing selections from the musicals Grey Gardens, Far From Heaven, and War Paint.
