Vanities

The play, Vanities, by Jack Heifner, has had a long history on stage and TV. It opened off Broadway in 1976 and ran until 1980 with the wonderful Kathy Bates in the original cast. It won the Drama Desk Award as Outstanding New Play and has been a favorite in regional and community theaters ever since. It has also been shown on HBO and a new musical version was performed in 2009 in New York City and Pasadena.
