About This Show

Join a quartet from New Jersey’s nationally-recognized NJSO for an afternoon of Broadway’s most cherished melodies. American composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein, one of the great icons of the 20th century, believed the Broadway musical to be at the core of the American cultural experience and the country’s lasting artistic contribution to the world. This program features music from his most famous musical, West Side Story, as well as songs from a host of other legendary composers. The selections span decades of great musicals, from the classic The Wizard of Oz to recent adaptations of the blockbuster movies Titanic and The Lion King.
