The Mystery of Edwin Drood

About the Show

Who killed Edwin Drood? Each night, the audience chooses the ending of this musical, The Mystery of Edwin Drood. With eight possible murderers, five possible sleuths, and a variety of mismatched combinations for the pair of lovers, it’s possible that each performance will have its own unique ending. Set in 1890 and presented in traditional English Music Hall style, the show is loaded with comedy and musical numbers. Based on an unfinished novel by Charles Dickens, the fun-filled musical evening boasts a raucous cast of characters including villains and heroines, a company that freely interacts with the audience, a chairman who oversees the evening’s proceedings, and musical numbers that are presented both for entertainment and plot development. Lively choreography and a melodic score keep the audience engaged throughout the mysterious proceedings until they choose what unsuspecting character did poor Edwin Drood in that night – thus, there may be a different ending at each performance.
