Mud

Mae wants to break out of her poverty and illiteracy, but is hindered by the needs of the men in her life. This journey of one woman’s determination and desperation also speaks of the predicament of many living bleak lives, ignored by the services intended to reach them. Lives that seem to be mired in the Mud.

Mud, written by Cuban/American author Maria Irene Fornes in 1983, is a twisted and unforgettable story of abject poverty. It is also the latest offering from Las Vegas Little Theatre’s Insomniac Project.
