About This Show

Las Vegas Little Theatre’s Insomniac Project announces performances of two short plays that deal with random meetings that may not be as random as they seem. The first play is Hopscotch , by Israel Horovitz. In it, a young man and a young woman meet, apparently by chance, in a park playground. But gradually, subtle hints emerge, suggesting that the two have indeed known each other before and, perhaps, better than either cares to remember. The second production is Trip’s Cinch , by Phylis Nagy. In this caustic and wry play, Ms. Nagy gives us both the truth and lie about this random meeting of two people and the politics of sexual pursuit. In three sharp scenes, Nagy presents the viewer with shifting perspectives in the aftermath of an alleged rape.
