St. Louis Shakespeare presents Shakespeare’s comedy, The Taming of the Shrew, directed by Ted Gregory. Petruchio comes to Padua looking for some quick cash, even if it means marrying the sharp-tongued and spirited Kate for her dowry. He finds he’s gotten more than he bargained for, as the world’s most famous battle of the
sexes begins. Who’s taming who in this classic Shakespeare comedy?

There is a Thursday performance at 7:30 p.m on September 12. A pre-show discussion of the play with Washington University professor Dr. Jami Ake and Artistic Director Donna Northcott will be held at the theatre at 7:00 p.m. on September 7.
