Get out your pedal pushers and bobby sox–it’s 1959 at Rydell High and the T-Birds and Pink Ladies are the gum chewing, hubcap stealing, hot rod loving guys and gals who capture the look and sound of this rollicking rock ‘n’ roll tribute to the 1950’s. While love interests, hip Danny Zuko and wholesome good girl Sandy Dumbrowski, resolve their problems, the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through the pajama party, the prom, the burger palace and the drive-in movie. Songs like "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightnin’," "Look at Me, I’m Sandra Dee," "Born to Hand Jive" and "We Go Together" create the sounds that made the music of the ’50s such a gas. Its original Broadway production ran for 3,388 performances.
