Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis served under General Waverley in WWII. Ten years later, they are still working together in a popular song and dance duo. When they meet the singing sisters, Betty and Judy, Phil becomes enamored with Judy, while Bob is more reserved about his feelings for Betty. The men follow the sisters to their seasonal engagement at a Vermont Inn, which they find is owned by General Waverley but is struggling to survive. The quartet decide to put on a show to draw in business. Bob discusses arrangements to bring his comrades to support the show. Betty overhears Bob’s plans and misinterprets his intentions, believing he wants to buy the Inn. Confusion ensues as Betty leaves to New York. Bob follows her to attempt to reconcile and goes on a Variety Show to reach out to his comrades to come to Vermont. Betty sees Bob on the show and returns and the couple declare their love for each other. With the show a huge success, Bob leads the theater with “White Christmas”.
