About the Show
Brooklyn born Clayton Stephenson, finalist in the 2022 Cliburn International Piano Competition, is considered one of the brightest rising stars in the world of the piano. Hailed for “extraordinary narrative and poetic gifts” and interpretations that are “fresh, incisive and characterfully alive” (Gramophone), he is committed to making an impact on the world through his music-making.
His program in Cheboygan will include Beethoven’s Appassionata Sonata, Scriabin’s Sonata no. 4, and from George Gershwin, “Summertime” and “Rhapsody in Blue.”
