The Rose Tattoo

About the Show

In a Sicilian community along the Gulf of Mexico, Serafina Delle Rose, a dressmaker, boasts of her lusty handsome husband, their love-drenched marriage, and their beautiful young daughter. When adversity strikes, the fallout is as passionate as what is lost, and the subsequent redemption truly out of this world. New York Times theatre critic, Ben Brantley, called this play by legendary American playwright Tennessee Williams, “a fable of rejuvenation with one of the funniest seductions in theater history.” The Rose Tattoo is the winner of the 1951 Tony Award for Best Play.
