About the Show

Bad Dates by Theresa Rebeck, directed by Susan M. Terner.

In this laugh out loud new comedy, Haley Walker, divorced mother of a teenaged daughter decides that it is time to re-enter the dating scene after years alone. True, she’s out of practice, but she is fortified by her recent success at creating a hot new “in” New York restaurant. As she prepares for each of her dates, she relates her previous attempts to the audience–sharing experiences that are by turn hilarious, touching, odd, and sometimes just unfortunate. And if that’s not enough, the Romanian mafia owns the restaurant she manages.

The Boston Globe called Bad Dates “frothy, irresistibly charming … full of good laughs.” John Simon of the New York Magazine said, “You will not want to miss this charming play.”

No performances Sunday, November 7 or Thursday, November 25.
