About This Show

The American Repertory Theatre presents The Syringa Tree as part of the South African Festival. The play is a personal, deeply evocative story of an abiding love between two families, one black, one white, and the two children that are born into their shared South African household in the early 1960’s. The Syringa Tree is written and performed by Pamela Gien, directed by Larry Moss.
