About This Show

Where else can you find an altar boy caught between his gum and a crisis of faith, a heterosexual woman who discovers she’s in love with her female best friend who turns out to be a former man, a prisoner on death row who can only escape his fate if he can fail the literacy test he’s struggled so hard to pass, a “home-improvement” husband who literally falls in love with his house, and a couple stumbling over themselves in an effort to give directions in the notoriously confused streets of Boston?

The Theatre Cooperative continues its support of emerging New England playwrights in its annual Ritalin Readings. Each night The Theatre Cooperative presents readings of the short-short works of some of the best local playwriting talent, along with musical performances and the company’s (in)famous Ritalin Raffle. You never know what surprise waits around the corner. And, just like the weather in New England, if you don’t like what you see–wait a minute!
