Conceived in 2000, The MOMologues is the brainchild of Scituate’s Lisa Rafferty, who had searched in vain for a play that took an honest, funny look at motherhood. When she couldn’t find material, she wrote some herself, helped by a gaggle of mom friends, including Concord’s Stefanie Cloutier and Sheila Eppolito of Chelmsford. All of the stories in the show are based on the real-life experiences of the playwrights and other moms. This show follows four women through the stages of motherhood, from pregnancy and labor and delivery to dealing with picky eaters, the tooth fairy, discipline issues and all the real-life comedy of being a mother.
