The Market Will Save Us

The Director of the Arts Administration program at Boston University, Lanfranco Aceti is proud to announce a new curated project, The Market Will Save Us, a banner installation and performance by international artist Bill Balaskas.

The artwork, premiered for the first time in the US in Boston, will be paraded around the Boston Common, accompanied by a marching band during Art Week Boston. The banner’s aim was not simply to disrupt the façade of a prominent public building by covering part of it aimed at disrupting the very idea of what it means to be an artist working under the current socioeconomic conditions of austerity and insecurity.
