T&A Theater presents The Last Little Porn Shop in Manhattan, an original play by Anne Continelli.
The year is 1998, and the city of New York is fully engaged in its war on porn, lead by Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. Porn shops around the city are being forced to close and sell their wares elsewhere. Only one shop remains – Bullwhips, Cock Rings, Slings and Things, which has been serving New York’s kinkiest for over 50 years. But they’re next on the hit list, and time is running out. They must come up with a clever plan to stay afloat or perish. Can they succeed and become the last little porn shop in Manhattan?
Porn Shop is a high comedy/farce that features adult language and references. The Boston Globe called this show a “guilty pleasure” and says that Continelli “makes great use of this locale in her new, likable, one-act farce.”
It further states that “Jeremy Wahlman and Katie Graycar are delightful in T&A Theatre’s The Last Little Porn Shop in Manhattan.”
