The Longwood Players’ season opens with Wendy Wasserstein’s The Heidi Chronicles, a play which co-starred Sex in the City’s Sarah Jessica Parker on Broadway and later became a movie starring Jamie Lee Curtis.Heidi Holland journeys from the idealism of her adolescence to the reality of being a single woman in a man’s world. Through intriguing characters and their relationships, Wasserstein chronicles the choices and challenges women faced in the final decades of the 20th century in a story that still resonates for men and women today.
