The Beauty Queen of Leenane

Martin McDonagh’s powerful play is set in the mountains of Connemara. This darkly comic tale explores the relationship between a plain lonely woman in her early forties and her manipulative aging mother. The mother’s interference in her daughter’s first and possibly final chance for a loving relationship sets in motion a train of events that leads inexorably towards the play’s terrifying end. The production is directed by Artistic Director M.J. Bruder Munafo.
