A world-premiere by award-winning Boston playwright John ADEkoje, Six Rounds/Six Lessons is a no-holds-barred exploration of truth, mortality and fatherhood.
In a metaphysical boxing ring, the audience experiences the story of Ace, a strong black male of sculpted body and mind. A father, son, brother and husband, Ace seeks redemption and enlightenment as a DJ cuts and scratches to the beat of his salvation.
Playwright John ADEkoje’s self-described “tragicomic hip-hop concerto” weaves an unconventional tale of morals, love and the realities of the streets. Emmy Award-winner Lois Roach directs.
