About This Show

Based on the classical myth of Pygmalion, the gifted sculptor who fell in love with his ivory statue of his "ideal woman", this comedic drama explores the complexity of human relationships in the vividly social world of early 20th century England.

When Phonetics professor Henry Higgins stumbles upon the pathetic and belligerent flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, his academic skills are put to the test as he not only attempts to refine her crude Cockney speech, but transform her entire manner of being as well. When the end result produces a stunningly ladylike Miss Doolittle, the lessons learned turn out to be much more far striking.
