About This Show

Centastage presents playwright Melinda Lopez’s new work The Order of Things. Recipient of a grant from the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays and winner of the Charlotte Woolard Award for “a promising new voice in the American theater” and winner of the Elliot Norton Award, Ms. Lopez tells a touching and poignant comic fable of a Cuban family seeking order in the worlds of Castro, America and higher mathematics. This new play was a finalist in the prestigious Clauder Playwriting competition and is directed by Ellen Gordon.
