Neha
Kumar is a Bharatanatyam dancer and the artistic director of Nritya Dance
Academy in Westborough, Massachusetts. With over 25 years of experience in this
classical art form, she has performed on stages across the United States and in
India. Beyond
the stage, Neha has used Bharatanatyam as a medium for impact—supporting
meaningful causes and raising funds for underprivileged children in both the
U.S. and in India.
Kumar is a Bharatanatyam dancer and the artistic director of Nritya Dance

Bharatanatyam
is an Indian Classical Dance form that originated in the temples of South India
over 2000 years ago involving intense foot movements in rhythmic patterns in
combination with facial expressions to depict stories of Hindu mythology. Bharatanatyam is performed to Carnatic (South Indian
classical) music, where the ragam defines the melodic structure and mood
of the song, and talam provides the rhythmic framework.

Walk-up tickets will be available to purchase at the Modern Theatre box office on the day of the event, one hour before the event's scheduled start time, subject to availability.

Please see below for important information to note before your visit to the Modern Theatre:
SEATING: This event has General Admission seating. All seats are first-come, first-served.
ARRIVAL: The Modern Theatre lobby and box office will open one hour before the event's scheduled start time. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the event's scheduled start time to check in at the box office and find a seat.
WAITLIST: If a performance is sold out, you may add your name to the waitlist by checking in at the Modern Theatre box office on the day of the performance. The box office opens one hour before each performance's scheduled start time. All unclaimed tickets will be released to the waitlist 10 minutes before the performance's scheduled start time.
RUNNING LATE? Late seating will be permitted during appropriate breaks in the performance, at the Front of House Manager’s discretion. Please arrive on time, at least 15 minutes before your event's start time.
If you are running late, please call (617) 557-6537 or email boxoffice@suffolk.edu to notify the Modern Theatre staff and ensure your tickets are not released to the waitlist.

PROHIBITED & PERMITTED ITEMS: We encourage you to leave valuables, large bags, and other personal belongings at home. Outside food and beverages are not allowed and need to be consumed in the lobby or disposed of before entering the theatre.
There is no coat or bag check at the theatre, and prohibited items will not be stored onsite by venue management.
