The incredibly hilarious and true story of a comedian who found himself waging a battle over gay marriage rights in a small island nation. Roderick Ferguson is a comedian, singer and storyteller who shares his journey of growing up in Bermuda, coming out in dramatic fashion, going on adventures, and waging an historic lawsuit. It’s an unforgivably autobiographical story but this isn’t therapy for him, or for you, though Roderick encourages you to seek help elsewhere. A story told well with lots of humor, a few songs, and a little drama. Directed by the incomparable Faith Prince, with musical direction and arrangements by Bobby Peaco, this one man show debuted with a splash in Provincetown in June, and it’s on its way to New York in November. At Club Cafe, Roderick will be accompanied by Jim Rice on piano.
