About This Show

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston brings its triumphant 45th season to a close August 8-18 with Boublil and Schonberg’s revolutionary pop opera, Les Miserables. Winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, this international smash hit may very well be the most popular musical in the world. Reagle Music Theatre mounts an all-new production directed and choreographed by Broadway’s David Hugo. Acclaimed Broadway tenor Ivan Rutherford, who has performed the role of Jean Valjean more than 2000 times on Broadway and on tour, stars. Based on the epic novel by Victor Hugo set in 19th century France, LES MISERABLES presents in a magnificent sung-through score the story of Jean Valjean’s unjust imprisonment and life-long struggle for redemption despite being pursued relentlessly by the obsessed police inspector Javert. Songs include the unforgettable “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” “Stars,” “One Day More” and “Bring Him Home.”
