New York City
Forever Plaid, the highly celebrated musical comedy hit, makes its return to Boston this summer. This deliciously goofy revue centers on four eager male singers killed in a car crash in 1964 on the way to their first big concert, only to be miraculously revived forty years later for the chance to perform the show that never was.
Created by Stuart Ross, Forever Plaid features the “Plaids,” four young men who sing in close harmony, squabble boyishly, and execute outlandish choreography to the tune of nostalgic pop hits of the 1950s. Dale Sandish directs this revival of the original New York City production, with musical direction by Jonathan Goldberg. Produced by Standing O Productions in association with Robert Foley, the Boston production features clever musical arrangements by James Raitt and a young ensemble cast with strong rapport.
