About This Show

Funnymen Don Gavin and Jimmy Tingle share the stage for a night of laughs. This is a rare co-headlining evening from two of Boston’s comedy legends, both of whom got their start at the famous Ding Ho Chinese restaurant/comedy club in Inman Square, Cambridge, some 25 years ago.

Jimmy Tingle is regarded as one of the top social commentators and humorists in the country. Tingle was the American correspondent for Sir David Frost’s show for PBS and the BBC, “The Strategic Humor Initiative.” He completed two seasons with “60 Minutes II” on CBS as the humorist / commentator in the Andy Rooney spot. He worked as a contributor and satirist for MSNBC and has appeared on “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn,” “The Tonight Show,” “Larry King Weekend,” “The Late Show with Conan O’Brien,” “The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder,” “The American Comedy Awards,” as well as his own HBO comedy special.

In the past year, Don Gavin appeared on two Comedy Central specials, and “Late Show with David Letterman,” and is a regular on the “Comics Come Home” show to support the Cam Neely Foundation. He has starred in several of the world’s most prominent comedy festivals, including The Montreal “Just For Laughs” Comedy Festival. Gavin has performed in over 30 USO tours entertaining the troops around the world. His breakneck-speed approach to humor generates consistently sustained laughter, while his universal humor and “everyman” style has an immediate appeal to all ages and audiences. Gavin can be seen in the upcoming film “Fever Pitch” starring Drew Barrymore.
