THIS ENGAGEMENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED, AND THE BROADWAY ENGAGEMENT POSTPONED.
A new version of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s 1947 musical Brigadoon, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Rob Ashford and feature a revised book by Tony winner John Guare, will play Boston’s Colonial Theatre, with a Broadway bow expected in Spring 2009.
The show is the story of two disillusioned Americans on vacation in Scotland who wander into a village that comes alive every 100 years but for only one day. The score includes “Almost Like Being in Love,” “There But for You Go I,” “Come to Me, Bend to Me,” and “Heather on the Hill.”
