About This Show

The Zeitgeist Stage Company presents Blue/Orange by Joe Penhall. The play raises awkward and troublesome questions about race and is a riveting, irreverently funny play about Christopher, a young black man who, while hospitalized for a mental condition, claims to be the son of the Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, and also insists that oranges are blue. While two psychiatrists play mind games over the depth of his mental illness, the audience is left wondering who, exactly, is sane after all. When the shrinks need shrinking, and the needy patient becomes believable, the audience is left wondering whether there’s something wrong with us?
