About This Show

Come Celebrate with Ben! Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston on January 17, 1706. In January 2006, he will be 300! JTOB proudly brings Benjamin Franklin, Printer, Etc. to Boston to celebrate Ben’s birthday. Some people are just fun to be around. By all accounts (unless you listen to John Adams), Ben Franklin was one of them. Come spend some time with Ben during his birth month.

In Benjamin Franklin, Printer, Etc., you will be treated to a visit with Ben Franklin in his most comfortable environment–his print-shop. Here is Franklin the printer at work in his shop. As he goes about his business, he entertains and enlightens his visitors with his thoughts, ideas and life stories. Veteran actor, Burdette Parks, brings a lively, re-imagined Franklin back to the stage in this marvelous birthday celebration. Parks has performed as Franklin before 100,000 at Washington D.C.’s bicentennial celebration of the Constitution in 1987, with the Coast Guard Band in New London, CT, at the Barns of Wolftrap, and at hundreds of other theaters around the country. Come celebrate!
