Lewis-Martins Duo – June 17

Rising stars violinst Geneva Lewis, recipient of a 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant, teams up with cellist Gabriel Martins, silver medal in International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians, for a special garden concert. Musical America says Lewis is “clearly one to watch” (Musical America). Legendary cellist Ralph Kirshbaum, says Martins has "revealed heart, passion, intellect, and a finely-nuanced palette of colors in a compelling manner worthy of a seasoned artist." The garden location is a labor of love twenty years in the making. The owners, doing all the work themselves, have planted over 1200 varieties of shrubs and trees and 3000 plants through the years. The peaceful setting up on a hill boasts an amazing vista of the valley below. Location will be moved if weather does not cooperate. Ticket includes concert, heavy appetizers, desserts, and drink.
