Cate Caplin directs Athena Theatre Company’s 2006 season-opening production: the suspense thriller Wait Until Dark. In this Broadway hit, sinister con man Roat and two ex-convicts, Mike and Carlino, have traced the location of a mysterious doll to the apartment of Sam Hendrix and his blind wife Susy. Susy refuses to reveal the location of the doll, and with the help of young neighbor Gloria, figures out she is the victim of a bizarre charade. Soon, a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues between Susy and the con-men, full of twists and turns sure to have the audience in suspense.
