About This Show

Pippin, a remarkable, handsome and talented young prince, is a medieval hippie as well as the son of the Emperor Charlemagne in eighth Century France. Like so many young men of every era, he is seeking a life of meaning, searching for his identity and fulfillment. His quest takes him down paths that include the military, sex, revolution and domesticity; nothing seems to be the answer, but the journey is high-spirited and wildly theatrical. The score which includes the dazzling hits, “Magic To Do,” “Corner of the Sky” and “Morning Glow.”

The show features a book by Roger O. Hirson, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. Gordon Hunt directs.
