About This Show

Starring Deborah Dir & Daniel DeWeldon and directed by Michael Arabian, this revival of Danny & the Deep Blue Sea came highly recommended to the author, John Patrick Shanley, from Oscar winners Martin Landau and Mark Rydell. The production began at The Actors Studio (of which Al Pacino, Ellen Burstyn and Harvey Keitel are the presidents) and was first presented on April 20, 2007, at Studio-Stage in Hollywood. The overwhelming response – including sold out houses from word of mouth (“an explosive, deeply affecting study of alienation and the redemptive power of love”) – caused the author, after having put a hold on the show for many years in Los Angeles, to personally release the rights to get reviewed!

Starring Deborah Dir (Sex, Sex, Sex, Sex, Sex & Sex; Bernie Mac) and Daniel DeWeldon (Streamers; The Bill); directed by Michael Arabian (The Trojan Women; King of the Ants); produced by Matthew Quinn and David Fofi.

If you have a good heart in a troubled soul, it may take the shedding of blood to reveal it – but then there is hope to survive.

It’s the fantasy of falling in love that opens Danny and Roberta up and then turns real. This gives them the strength to better their lives. The marriage may not work, but at least they are going to try and it will take them to a higher level. We can all see ourselves in them.

The theater Box Office opens one half hour prior to show time.
