Set in the Australian outback, The Summerhouse in April flashes back and forth between the years during and after World War I. The play revolves around a love affair that develops between Isabel’s fiancé and her sister, Isabel’s ill-fated flirtation with the visiting soldier, and the lovers’ moral dilemma when Isabel decides to reclaim her fiancé.
