The Mammals

Very hip, very young and with a lot of crossover appeal, The Mammals are one of the most interesting folk-bands out there. Last year, they were a smash hit as an opening act for Bonnie Raitt at The Music Hall. They travel America in a large diesel van filled with drums, amps, an upright bass, fiddle, guitars and banjos. Their shows connect rock and traditional Appalachian music in a very organic way.
