San Francisco Theater Festival

Shakespeare, hip-hop, improv, folk tales, solo performers, musical, magic, comedy, drama, and a full children’s program…it’s all part of the diverse San Francisco Theater Festival.

The theater festival is presented on 10 stages located in downtown San Francisco at the Yerba Buena Gardens, Center for the Arts, Zeum, and Metreon. And It’s FREE!

Bay Area theater companies such as Asian American Theater Co, African American Theater Co., 42nd Street Moon, Magic Theater, BATS Improv, and many many others will participate in the Fourth Annual San Francisco Theater Festival. Many of the performances are family friendly including 12 shows especially for children. Last year’s festival attracted more than 6,500 people.
