Actors Touring Company presents Deborah Levy’s macbeth false memory, directed by Nich Philippou. A middle-aged man in a dusty pinstriped suit salutes magpies for luck. A young woman washes her hands all night long. The ghosts of their past visit them often. They love each other. They kill six people. The amusing thing about life is it takes a superhuman effort to be happy. Based on Shakespeare’s play and its sources, this production putsmagic, murder, obsession and psychosis into the context of the modern psyche.
