Lost in Yonkers

One of Neil Simon’s best, Lost in Yonkers is a bittersweet comedy about two teenage brothers who are forced by their father’s dire financial circumstances to live for ten months with their stern and uncompromising grandmother in her Yonkers home above the family’s candy store. Their plight is eased by their loving but childlike Aunt Bella and their Uncle Louie, a small-time gangster and tough-talking petty thief.
