John Arden’s Live Like Pigs was originally directed by George Devine and Anthony Page at the Royal Court in 1958. In the play, the Sawneys, nomadic descendants of the 16th century ‘sturdy beggars,’ are rehoused from a caravan site into a council house next-door to the Jacksons, an apparently solid, respectable family. The consequences are explosive.
There will be an additional matinee performance on 18 February, 2006 at 3.30pm.
